Diesel generator set fault processing technology

Fault 1: Diesel generator set has low speed or unstable speed

Cause
1 Fuel filter blocked
2 The fuel system is not working properly
3 The governor is not working properly.
4 Low ambient temperature or no warm-up
5 engine speed is too low

Solution
1 Replace the fuel filter
2 Check the engine governor
3 Check the engine's preheating system, run the engine at no load and reach the operating temperature

Fault 2: The diesel generator set tries to start but cannot succeed

Cause

1 Battery power is insufficient
2 Battery connector corrosion or loose cable connection
3 Insufficient fuel in the engine cylinder
4 There is air in the fuel oil circuit
5 fuel filter blocked
6 The fuel system is not working properly
7 air filter blocked
8 Ambient temperature is too low
9 governor is not working properly
10 control panel startup circuit failure

Solution
1 Check and charge the battery, replace the battery if necessary
2 Check the binding posts of the connecting cable, tighten the nuts, and replace the corroded connecting terminals and nuts.
3 Check the fuel tank and fill it with oil
4 Exhaust the air from the fuel system
5 Replace the fuel filter
6 Replace the air filter
7 Check oil viscosity and grade
8 Check the control panel start/stop control circuit

Fault 3: The voltage frequency is low or the indication is zero

Cause
1 Fuel filter blocked
2 The fuel system is not working properly
3 The governor is not working properly.
4 engine speed is too low
5 indicating instrument failure
6 Instrument connection failure

Solution
1 Replace the oil filter
2 Check the engine governor
3 Check the instrument and replace the meter if necessary
4 Check the instrument connection circuit
5 Check engine governor

Fault 4: Diesel generator set has low oil pressure

Cause
1 oil level is high
2 lack of oil
3 oil filter blocked
4 oil pump workload is not normal
5 sensor, control panel or wiring failure

Solution
1 Release excess oil
2 Add oil to the oil sump and check for leaks
3 Change the oil filter
4 Check if the sensor and control panel and grounding cable are loose or disconnected, and check if the sensor needs to be replaced.

Fault 5: Diesel generator set can not start

Cause
1 circuit is not working properly
2 battery power is insufficient
3 Battery connector corrosion or loose cable connection
4 Poor cable connection, charger or battery failure
5 Start motor failure
6 control panel startup circuit failure

Solution
1 Check electrical reasons
2 Check and charge the battery, replace the battery if necessary
3 Check the control panel start/stop control circuit
4 Check the connection between the charger and the battery
5 Check the binding posts of the connecting cable, tighten the nuts, and replace the corroded connecting terminals and nuts.
